Professor Pérez-Madrid focuses her teaching and research on Canon Law and Relations Between State and Religious Groups. She has written over 50 articles and three books.
Professor Pérez-Madrid also is a member of the Board Committee of the International Association of Canon Law, the Spanish Royal Academy of Jurisprudence and Legislation, the Advisory Board of the Revista General de Derecho Canónico y Derecho Eclesiástico del Estado, and the Journal Ius Ecclessiae (Italy). Additionally, she has acted as a consultant for the governments of Catalonia (Spain) and Andorra on issues related to freedom of religion and belief.
