Steven R. Ballinger, Esq., Adjunct Instructor, Accreditation and Licensing, Master of Health Law, Nova Southeastern Shepard Broad College of Law.  Mr. Ballinger received his B.A. degree from Tulane University in Louisiana in 1983, and his Law (J.D.) Degree from Texas Tech University School of Law cum laude in 1986. As a practicing attorney, he has 26 years of experience in a broad range of issues involving of health care law, including medical malpractice defense, and a current emphasis on health-related contracting and administrative licensing. Mr. Ballinger has served as an adjunct instructor at Barry University, in Miami Shores, Florida, in their Health Services Administration Master’s program and their Master’s in Public Health Program. He currently teaches Risk Management and Jurisprudence at the Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine.  Mr. Ballinger is author of articles published in the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association Journal, Hospital News of Florida, Medical Business of South Florida, The American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedic Surgeon’s The Orthopod,and the journal of the Broward County Medical Association, The Record.  Mr. Ballinger has frequently lectured at accredited conferences for health care providers in the areas of Risk Management/Medical Jurisprudence and a wide variety of Medical-Legal Issues.  Conference sponsors have included various hospitals across the State of Florida, The Florida Osteopathic Medical Association, The National Society of Dental Practitioners, The American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, Nova Southeastern University of Health Sciences, and the Barry University School of Podiatry.
