Heather Fitzenhagen (JD 1993), Jared E. Moskowitz (JD 2007) and Emily Slosberg (JD 2011) are members of the 2016-18 Florida House of Representatives. Fitzenhagen, elected in 2012, was named chair of the Florida House of Representatives Civil Justice & Claims Subcommittee by speaker Richard Corcoran. Moskowitz, elected in 2012, is the Democratic ranking member of the Appropriations Committee. Slosberg was sworn in on November 22, 2016 and is on the Criminal Justice Subcommittee with Moskowitz.
Victoria Calebrese will be a panelist in the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee of the Palm Beach County Bar Association “A Help and Not a Hurdle, Timing of Mediation – Four Quarters of the Dispute” presentation in February 2017.

Maria C. Mitropoulos-Gonzalez was honored with the 2016 “Honorable Hugh E. Starnes Community Service Award” by the Florida Chapter of The Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (FLAFCC) at the Orlando Conference in September 2016.
Beverly Pohl is a finalists in the 12th Annual Most Effective Lawyers award. Pohl is Board Certified in appellate practice and was selected as the 2017 Fort Lauderdale appellate Law “Lawyer of the Year”

Michelle Suarez attended the first “Women Mean Business” Luncheon hosted by the NSU Business School, and will be helping via Mentorship. “Women Mean Business” focuses on empowering female future leaders to turn any obstacles and challenges they may face due to gender issues, and turn those obstacles into opportunities. We can expect the “Women Mean Business” program to officially launch from NSU Business School in Fall 2017.
