Class Actions December 2016

Eunice Baros (JD 1980), the founding president of the NSU Law Alumni Association Palm Beach Chapter, is featured in the December 2016 issue of the Palm Beach Bar Bulletin. Baros was the 2008 NSU Alumni of the Year and continues to have an influence in the Palm Beach area in her solo general practice in Palm Beach Gardens.

1981

Robert Kelley was featured in an article by Law360 entitled, Kelley/Uustal’s Bob Kelley Swims With The Sharks — And Dolphins, for his work with DiveBar, a nonprofit and bar association that he founded.

1985

Kenneth Cutler, partner at the law firm Cutler Rader, PL, was recently elected to a 4-year term on the Parkland City Commission, District 3 and thereafter voted by the Commission to act as Deputy Vice Mayor for Parkland, FL.

Kevin D. Rosen has joined Shutts & Bowen in Miami as a partner in its financial services practice group.

Nader Anise was quoted in the ABA Journal on November 4, 2016 in an article entitled, Love Your Lawyer Day will be celebrated with synchronized tweets.

2001

Deena Marie Gray has joined Greenspoon Marder in Fort Lauderdale, FL as Senior Counsel.

2002

Michelle A. Caputi, has joined Berger Singerman in Boca Raton as a counsel focusing on health care related governmental, regulatory, and transactional matters.

2004

Britt Monroe Bradford was promoted to Senior Vice President for Tilson PR, a full service public relations firm in Boca Raton, FL

2006

Jennifer Diaz moderated a panel titled “Challenges and Opportunities in Cross-border E–Commerce” for the U.S.-Mexico Logistics & Supply Chain Leader Summit. She also presented a webinar titled “The ABC’s of Customs Seizures — Plus Top 10 Tips to Ensure Import Compliance” for the Organization of Women in International Trade.

2008

Keith E. Sonderling has been reappointed to the Fourth District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission.

Thomas P. Fabricio presented a webinar titled “Bodily Injury Case Law Updates” to insurance adjusters with CNA.

2009

Michael Kantor joined Weiss Serota Helfman Cole & Bierman as an associate in the labor group of the Broward office.

2012

Nicole Vette joined Gladstone & Weissman in Boca Raton, FL as an associate focusing on family law.

2013

Jared Guberman published an article with the November 2016 issue of the Broward County Bar Association Barrister entitled, “The Current State of Medical Marijuana in Florida”. Jared is also featured on the BCBA Barrister December 2016 front cover.

Jeffrey A. Widelitz has joined Barthet Firm in Miami focusing on construction law matters, including defect litigation.

Michelle K. Suarez published an article with the November 2016 Broward County Bar Association (BCBA) Barrister entitled, “Tried and True to Stay in Shape while on a trip for Business or Pleasure”.  On November 2, 2016, she was interviewed by NBC6 on the topic of Medical Marijuana and its effect on businesses throughout South Florida. In the December 2016 issue of BCBA Barrister, she published an article entitled, "The Future of Medical Marijuana in Florida Has Arrived; the Voters Have Spoken" and was featured on the cover, alongside fellow alumni Natalie Giachos (J.D. 2006) and Jared Guberman (J.D. 2013). Additionally, Michelle was featured in the NSU Law Mentoring Program promotional video as a representative of the program.

2015

Elen Gantner joined Weiss Serota Helfman Cole & Bierman as an associate in the municipal law group of the Broward office.

Antonia Gentry has opened Antonia L Gentry, PLLC in Port St Lucie, FL. Gentry will focus on tax issues.

Antonia Nieves-Meza joined Steinger, Iscoe & Greene in West Palm Beach as a litigation attorney.
