In addition to serving as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Nova Southeastern, Nicholas is a registered patent attorney who focuses on patent and trademark prosecution and registration at Origins Law, LLC, the boutique Intellectual Property Law firm Nicholas owns and operates in South Florida. He works closely with independent inventors, small businesses, and startups to create and implement strategies to build out robust intellectual property portfolios that are both effective and provide value for his clients. Nicholas is routinely contracted by other larger firms to provide expert analysis and consult on intellectual property portfolios, typically producing patent applications, and legal responses for those firms to provide to their clients.

Prior to his work in the legal field, Nicholas earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Drexel University, and prior to law school had worked in the Electrical Engineering and Automation industries. He received his Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad College of Law with a concentration in Intellectual Property Law.

Nicholas is licensed to practice in the State of Florida, Southern District of Florida, Middle District of Florida, the District of Columbia, and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
