Legal Study Skills (LSS) I (0 Credit) LAW 0523

Fall semester, first-year Critical Skills Program course that provides an initial opportunity for students to develop and assess essential legal skills of critical reading, analytical thinking, logical reasoning and writing.  This course also includes training in time management and study skills, and provides exposure to law exams before students’ first set of graded final exams in their doctrinal courses.

Legal Study Skills (LSS) II (0 Credit) LAW 0527

Winter semester, first-year course that is open to all students and required for students who do not attain at least a 2.8 GPA in their first semester. This course builds on the first semester’s skills, provides a continuing opportunity for students to develop and assess essential legal skills of critical reading, analytical thinking, logical reasoning and writing.  This course also includes further training in time management and study skills, and provides additional exposure to and success strategies for writing effective law exams.
