Elena Minicucci teaches in the Critical Skills Program (CSP) at NSU Law. The CSP instructors assist law students in developing and honing the essential legal skills of critical reading, thinking, and writing.
From 2011 to 2016, Elena was the director of alumni relations at NSU Law. Working with the College of Law’s development team, dean, administration, and faculty, she developed programs to engage law alumni with the students and faculty in order to help NSU Law achieve its mission. She created and produced the Law Center Plus Seminar series and created a group mentoring model for the NSU Law Mentoring Program. Additionally, she worked with alumni boards and chapters to create programs for law alumni to engage them with each other, mentor law students, present seminars, and make financial contributions to help fund student scholarships.
Since 2002, she has been an Adjunct Professor of Law at NSU. Classes taught include: Legal Skills and Values III and IV; Civil Pretrial Practice; Client Interviewing and Counseling; and Collaborative Family Law Workshop.
A member of The Florida Bar since 1996, Elena practiced law from 1996 to 2011. Her legal experience includes: Assistant Attorney General (Florida), Assistant City Attorney (Hollywood, FL and Sunrise, FL), and in private practice as a civil litigation and transaction attorney.
She is admitted to practice in the following courts: United States District Court, Southern District of Florida (since 1997); United States District Court, Northern District of Florida (since 1997), United States District Court, Middle District of Florida (since 2001) and The Supreme Court of the United States (since 2012). Elena is “AV” rated by Martindale-Hubbell and is a Licensed Florida Real Estate Salesperson.
From 2009 to 2015, she served on the Florida Bar Journal/News Editorial Board. Elena Minicucci has published articles, lectured at seminars, and served on various non-profit boards through the years.
