Critical Skills Instructor & Adjunct Professor of Law


Elena Minicucci teaches in the Critical Skills (CSP) Program at NSU Law.  As an instructor in the CSP Program, her job is to assist students in developing and mastering those skills central to success in law school, passing the bar and practicing law.

Prior to her current position, Elena was the Director of Alumni Relations for the Shepard Broad College of Law at Nova Southeastern University (2011-2016).  Working with the College of Law’s Development team, Dean, Administration, and Faculty, she worked to bring opportunities to Law Alumni to engage with each other and law students in order to achieve the mission of the College of Law and Law Alumni Association.  

Since 2002, she has been an Adjunct Professor of Law at the Shepard Broad College of Law.  Classes taught include: Legal Skills and Values III and IV; Civil Pretrial Practice; Client Interviewing and Counseling; Collaborative Family Law Workshop.

Elena Minicucci practiced law in South Florida from 1996 to 2011.  Her legal experience included Assistant Attorney General (Florida), Assistant City Attorney (City of Hollywood, FL and City of Sunrise, FL), and civil trial and transactional attorney in private practice.

Since 1996, she has been a member of The Florida Bar and is admitted to practice in the following courts: United States District Court,  Southern District of Florida (since 1997); United States District Court, Northern District of Florida (since 1997), United States District Court, Middle District of Florida (since 2001) and The Supreme Court of the United States (since 2012).  Elena is “AV” rated by Martindale-Hubbell and is a Licensed Florida Real Estate Salesperson.

From 2009 to 2015, she served on the Florida Bar Journal/News Editorial Board. Elena Minicucci has published articles, lectured at seminars, and served on various non-profit boards through the years.  She has also served as Chair of her Homeowner Association’s Architectural Review Board and volunteers at church in various capacities.
