Adjunct Professor Varela is a 20+ year litigator with an emphasis on complex commercial litigation. Her career has covered a wide variety of practice areas: business torts including fraud, civil theft and misrepresentation; contract disputes; real property disputes; personal injury and wrongful death; HOA and condominium litigation; creditor’s rights in bankruptcy; foreclosures and evictions. She is active in the local bar, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Broward County Bar Association, its bench/bar professionalism committee and most recently as co-chair of the biennial 2015 Bench/Bar Convention. Adjunct Professor Varela practices in state and federal courts. She is a graduate of the University of Florida for both undergraduate and law school degrees.
