She's presented at DragonCon, Florida Supercon, South By Southwest (SXSW) and INTA's Academic Day on balancing the rights of all types of storytellers and creators, at Penn Law and Princeton on fan creativity, and before the Library of Congress to secure DMCA exemptions; she's presented at Comic Con with Orlando Jones and Misha Collins on fanworks, and has been part of the Harry Potter SDCC fandom panel since 2008. Heidi obtained her B.A. in History and Communications from the University of Pennsylvania and her J.D. from American University Washington College of Law.
