Professor Oza is a licensed Florida Attorney admitted to practice in Florida circuit courts as well as in the United State District Court, Southern District of Florida. He is a Florida Supreme Court certified Mediator in Circuit Civil as well as Family Law. He provides Mediation services in all Florida counties and has litigated all across the State of Florida. He has over 15 years of experience representing individuals, businesses, families and professionals in civil litigation.
Professor Oza received his J.D., magna cum laude from the University Of Miami School Of Law. Honors and distinctions received in law school included a graduating class ranking in the top 10%, Law Review, several Dean's Lists and a membership in the Order of Coif National Honor Society. He received his mediation training from Mediation Services as well as University of Miami School Of Law.
Pre-law education includes a Bachelors in Medical Technology and a Masters in Health Services Administration, both from Florida International University. A licensed laboratory supervisor (2013-14) in Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Serology and Immunohematology, Professor Oza is a Medical Technologist certified by American Society of Clinical Pathologists ("ASCP"). He is also a Fellow of the American College of Health Care Executives, a national organization of health and hospital administrators ("FACHE"). Prior to his legal career, Professor Oza was the Director of Laboratory Services at a large tertiary care academic medical center. He is also an experienced health care and hospital administrator.
Professor Oza has practiced corporate law covering a variety of special areas such as employment law, health law, guardianships, medical malpractice, medical staff affairs, product and premises liability as well as business law. His litigation practice includes personal injury, construction and environmental law, product and premises liability as well as commercial litigation. He has done appellate work in Florida District Courts of Appeals.
Professor Oza has taught Management and Law. He has published throughout his career.
