Michelle Denis is an adjunct professor of law with Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law.  Prior to joining Shepard Broad College of Law, Michelle was a civil litigation attorney practicing in a broad range of legal areas including, but not limited to, contract law, landlord-tenant, title disputes, creditor-debtor, construction law, and homeowner/condominium association disputes.  In addition to practicing law, Michelle assisted in the legal recruitment at the law firm by reviewing potential employee resumes and conducting interviews.  Prior to practicing general civil litigation, Michelle specialized in the area of First Party Property Insurance Defense.

Michelle graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in English from Florida Atlantic University and magna cum laude with her juris doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law.  In law school, Michelle served as a Bilingual Editor for ILSA, Journal of International & Comparative Law, was a teaching assistant, was a law clerk in various law firms, and was the recipient of the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in the following areas: Dependency, Worker’s Compensation, Evidence, Criminal Procedure, and Advanced Legal Research.
